Quick Update Wires

The below are featured updates in summary format from the home page quick wire updates. It forms a history of the evolution of Maolte over time. You can see benchmarked moments from the very start of the Maolte journey through its formative stages to limited company formation and the journey from there to this day.

23 June 2022 - A technical glitch caused a partial outage on the site today. In line with good practice, I troubleshot the issue and found the root cause of the 500 error. I have enacted my disaster recovery protocols and restored the site to its full health, also taking steps to mitigate the risk of it happening in the future. I would like to apologise for the degraded user experience today and look forward to bringing you the planned content revision of my site to celebrate the launch of Maolte Technical Solutions Limited.

15th May 2022Now is an opportune time for a preview of exciting news coming down the tracks at Maolte. After reviewing my current market intelligence on IT and Writing demand for contractors in the marketplace along with project preparation, I handed in my notice at Sage with a view to focusing on contracting full time. I met with my accountant last Friday and have mapped out this milestone development in order to upgrade Maolte to a limited company. I will be trading at some point in June as an Engineer, Writer and now Founder. Do stay tuned for exciting times ahead.

17th February 2022 - Another certification milestone was achieved today when I passed the AZ-104 Azure Cloud Administrator Associate exam. This certification is a key milestone due to the broad range of areas covered in Azure, which coupled with my existing cloud engineering knowledge has functionally improved my working knowledge of the Azure platform. You can verify this certification on my Credly account. Stay tuned for developments on certifications, next up is Terraform!

22nd January 2022 - It gives me great pleasure to announce the passing of my first AWS certification exam. Yesterday, I sat and passed the SOA-C02 AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate exam, which is part of my certification path as a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer.  You can verify the certification at my Credly account link to my AWS Certification account. Do stay tuned for developments.

29th December 2021 - I would like to firstly thank you for your visit to Maolte over the holiday season and wish you and your families all the health and prosperity going into 2022 and beyond.

6th November 2021 - I have two updates for you. Firstly, it gives me great pleasure to announce my appointment to Sage Software as a Full-Time CloudOps Engineer starting November 15th, 2021. I will be joining a CloudOps team and get the opportunity to work on multi-stack production environments alongside my colleagues supporting Sage's cloud offering. Secondly and as exciting, I have sat and passed by a comfortable margin the Certified Kubernetes Administrator exam. This was my first all practical exam on servers ever under time pressure and a true learning experience in Kubernetes. I have shared my CKA experiences on my blog at https://maolte.ie/blog/25-certified-kubernetes-administrator-exam, which is a good read for technology lovers and a must-read for anybody studying for the CKA.

30th September 2021 - Just under 4 hours to the full launch of the site and my set up of my freelancing vehicle Maolte, which I am just bubbling with excitement about. Stay tuned to Blogs over the coming days, weeks, and months via menu selection and catch short blogs on everything from DevOps CICD gotchas to Infrastructure monitoring tips to Novel updates; forthcoming availability change updates plus more. Also, why not sign up to my Writing or Tech email lists, so you can get updated with these snippets on the go. My newsletters will range from weekly to monthly distributions with any more frequent updates via blogs only, as I know how irritating it is to be spammed on an email list. If you would like to see something added to them or have a question on availability or anything on the service offering, drop me a line via Contacts or directly at This email address is being protected from spambots.
